Space for the Butterflies is a blog about the things that make me happy. It’s a story of motherhood, with knitting, quilting, baking, exploring, and the things that make me think all woven in; my children’s baby book and my tale of learning to be their mother.
Kitty was born in 2010, Elma in 2012, and Pip in 2014 so we’re still very much in the early years. We live in Warwickshire which has the advantage of being pretty much near everywhere and we’re always interested in an adventure.
As well as being a blogger, photographer, Instagram addict, knitter, sewer, quilter, mother of three and a wife, I am a writer, and I could be writing for you.
I offer copywriting, feature writing and guest blogging, whether in my own name or as a brand and we love working with brands that fit with our family ethos and will be of interest to the people who read my little corner of the internet.
The five of us love being outdoors, even if it’s only the garden, being creative, and being colourful. We try to be as environmentally friendly as we can be and I suspect we head towards the hippy-crunchier end of the parenting scale. I love to make things, especially if it’s cake, and I have a serious weakness for brightly coloured clothes on my children.
To date my advertorial and sponsored posts have covered baby clothes, personalised children’s books, baby food, holidays, cake making and decorating (I really loved that one), Elma’s beloved Toddlebike and an Instagram printing service to name but a few.
Space for the Butterflies has been featured in Making Magazine, was a MADs Finalist in 2015 for Best Baby Blog and again in 2016 for Best Craft Blog, and my posts have appeared on the Tot’s 100 Fresh Five, and on Mumsnet’s Front Page. More detailed stats are available on request.
