Linking up with Jodi with a portrait of each of my children once every week for 2016.

Space for the Butterflies - the 52 project - a portrait of my children every week

Kitty: Your latest gym class invention is the sort of cartwheel, sort of forward roll.  Whatever it’s meant to be, you throw yourself into it with enthusiasm – upside down, limbs flailing, and the most enormous smile throughout.

Elma: Today we went to our favourite shop, and because it’s half term and because I’ve missed you and your brother and sister this week, and because you asked so very nicely, two sets of mermaid temporary tattoos came home with us.  So you have a mermaid on one arm and starfish and shells on the other and I love that you can’t stop looking at them.

Pip: even though I still think of you as my baby, it’s photos like this that provide the incontrovertible proof that you are in fact very much my little boy now. Muddy, perpetually in motion, and almost always smiling. Just don’t grow too fast ok.
