2015 according to Kitty, Elma and Pip

01/01/2016

Happy New Year and welcome to 2016.  And on the basis that I’ve done it twice now and therefore it is a time honoured tradition, it’s time to hand the blog over to Kitty, Elma and Pip for their round up of the last year and their intentions for 2016, at least in as much as they had any early one morning between Christmas and New Year.

Last year Kitty’s biggest wish was to go to Cinderella and to have lots of Christmas cards; well we went to Jack in the Beanstalk for the pantomime which was awesome and in the last week of school her folder overflowed with Christmas cards from her friends at the end of every day so I think she can claim to have had another awesome year.  Elma had managed to give her answers in words for the first time and I’m pleased to report that she not only ate lots of pasta shapes all mixed up, but went to several parties and even ate pasta shapes at a party.  And as for Pip, well my little chatterbox boy definitely nailed “gurgle gurgle” and has moved on to such complex words as “Waawa” (water) and “Bub” (dearest Mummy I would really like to have some milk now please).

And so over to them as we stand on the brink of 2016:

Right now these little records don’t tell of lifetime ambitions, deep passions or probably even their real favourite thing that they did this year; Pip doesn’t have the words nor Elma the appropriate stage of developed memory recall to be able to think back much further than the instant and you can pretty much tell in her answers both that Grandpa was staying with us and the moment he walked into the room.  But it’s Kitty’s answers that I find fascinating this year.  Last year was all about the things she’d done in the last month and while this year Christmas is still obviously very much at the forefront of her mind, I can practically see her mind stretching out into some of her answers. I love that her ambition is to read Heidi – and with a bit of luck I can make that one come true.

2015’s answers and intentions are here and Kitty and Elma’s answers from 2013 (including Kit’s legendary ambition to go to the supermarket) are here!
