Linking up with Jodi with a portrait of each of my children once every week for 2015.
Kitty: You are so excited about your adventures in Europe, and it’s such a relief. When we first mentioned the idea your immediate response was that you were absolutely definitely not going. But we kept talking about it and mentioning the fun things we’d do, and we also bought you a pink sleeping bag and now, well you couldn’t stop talking about your plans. Some of them align with Mummy and Daddy’s plans, and some of them not so much, but I hope that this holiday can be as much about the yeses as anything else, and that we go on a fair few of your adventures as well as ours.

Elma: Eating a sambola (I think that’s what they called it in the patisserie) and enjoying the beach at Ouiestreham, collecting shells and watching a massive Brittany Ferry come in to port behind us.
Pip: I love photos of my babies all covered in spaghetti sauce. I can’t help it, I just think they’re so cute. I have Kitty with spaghetti well and truly mushed into her hair and Elma in a similar situation and now I have possibly my favourite ever. The joy of photography compared to art is that I take a picture of how you looked in one tiny second in life, where a painting would capture you in many different moods all melded together, and I’m so glad that I captured this expression. It’s just such an adorable neat gin smile, especially combined with the sauce makeup. Long may you continue to really love your pasta shapes!
