A portrait of each of my children once every week for 2015.
Kitty: You’re starting to figure out how to push yourself on the swing and our little swing in the garden is now your favourite place to be. You push yourself back on your tippy toes as far as you can and then launch forward, willing yourself to keep moving. I love how happy it makes you, and as your brother gets ever nearer being big enough to join in the swinging, my arms are very glad you’re becoming self propelling.

Elma: Daddy’s girl through and through. You are all about your Daddy right now, to the extent of trying (unsuccessfully) to crawl under the very small crack at the bottom of the bathroom door to get to him. And when I came upstairs again, there you were quite happily ensconced in a corner of the bath chatting away.

Pip: Oh my little pickle boy – your smile would melt the stoniest of hearts and give energy to the tiredest Mama. If Elma is Daddy’s girl then you are still wholeheartedly Mama’s boy and wherever I am, there you go too; the sling is my favourite invention and your favourite place. But sat in your buggy watching me run around and taking pictures of your sisters you were such a happy giggly boy.
