Elma Family Kitty Photography Pip The 52 Project

A portrait of each of my children once every week for 2015.

Space for the Butterflies - an eclectic handmade family life

Kitty: Your favourite garden game at the moment is ‘shops’, I’m the shopkeeper and you pretend to come through the door, ring the bell and then ask me for anything from a fishing net to a little bit of moon dust all of which appears to be in stock and available in pink or purple, it’s a great shop! You were trying to decide what to order next I think – the answer was a lollipop, preferably pink.

Elma: Everywhere we go you wear your fairy wings.  They’ve been to take Kitty to preschool, to the doctor, the playpark, around the supermarket and to watch your Daddy play hockey.  It’s a bit of a surprise that you’re not wearing them to sleep.  And if we peeked under your coat I strongly suspect we’d find the matching tutu.

Pip:  I could never have enough of your happy smiles; even in the wee small hours of the morning, though for reference I would also like the sleep!

My little man used to love playing “shops”. He would set up the house with things he wanted to by, and then ask for a shopping bag. I would sit and wait at the “check out lane” and ring everything up when he was done.

We went through a phase with fairy wings too 🙂 Pip’s smile is adorable. Hope you get a little more sleep soon.

Such cute games, pictures and children make believe…my daughter used to wear her fairy dress everywhere…gosh I love those days. She’s turning 9 in a couple of weeks and is getting a blue budgie bird for her birthday and she is beyond excited….Regards Kathy A, Brisbane

We’re in the playing shops phase too. Bubs has a little till that she received for Christmas and she loves setting up a little shop of things to buy. Everything costs three pounds. 🙂

I do love Kitty’s expression in the first photo. She has such a wonderfully expressive face. Elma looks adorable in her fairy wings and pompom hat and how sweet is little Pip with his bright smile. A beautiful trio of photos. 🙂

Thank you 🙂 Kitty had a phase where everything cost the same too – I just can’t remember how much it was!! (Bad Mummy!)

All such expressive faces, they really do feel like ‘portraits’.
