The Fifth Week that Was – according to Instagram

This was the week when all four of us climbed into a giant rook’s nest, when we watched a bowls match by accident, and when we realised that H and I are old enough for our childhood toys to be considered vintage.

This week we were:

…exploring Compton Verney, a lovely private art gallery and museum not too far from home.  It’s the site of the giant rook’s nest overlooking a lake, a spiders’ web to play hide and seek in, and a wonderful adventure playground – but more on that another time.

…getting back in the kitchen after a bit of a hot weather cooking rut; making home made tomato pasta sauce for later in the week and some gorgeous Courgette Polpette for lunch; a lunch that apparently required certain degrees of sartorial elegance!

That Brio set is so fab, my boys can’t even keep one under a year old in tact!

I do love going out and enjoying things before everyone else wakes up, genius time to hit the pool.

Sounds like a lovely relaxed week
