Elma Exploring Family Kitty Photography

The Week That Was – according to Instagram

I’m a little bit of an insta-addict.  I tend to carry the big camera with us most of the time, but sometimes it’s just easier to take a quick snap with my phone to make sure I’ve caught the moment, rather than miss it in a flurry of furretting in the nappy bag and fiddling with lens caps and camera settings, and it’s certainly easier to do a little editing with one hand during the bedtime feed.  So I don’t really need persuading to play along with the very talented Hannah at Make, Do and Push in a little snapshot of our week according to Instagram.

So what were we up to this week:

Blog post: Storytime

Unravelling after our week away; washing, drying, tidying, and remembering fun in the sunshine.

Blog post: Solace for Sunstroke (if you’re feeling a bit melty today, this is the post you should read!)

Getting back into the swing of our daily routine, and a gentle afternoon spent snoozing (Elma) or listening to Mummy read stories (Kit)

Blog post: Pip Squeak {what we’re reading}

Meeting up with friends in the park for ice-cream, running around, digging with sticks, and eating more strawberries than you would imagine either tiny girl could conceivably put away, and a little moment between two girls who are growing more in love as sisters every day.

Elma and I went to work to talk about my return; the idea of leaving my gorgeous baby clearly still makes me clutch her tightly with both hands, thus, no photos!

Blog post: Today we have …

Revelling in this glorious sunny weather; hanging out in the garden and then heading to the park to play under the fountains.  Kitty made friends with a couple of little girls; they were both four, she was the tallest!

Blog post: Elma in July and {this moment}

Celebrating seven months of the blessing that is this beautiful, happy, contented little soul.

Blog post: Space for the fish?

Spectating in style at H’s cricket match; we pitched camp just outside the boundary, Elma stole all the boys’ hearts (and Daddy’s sandwich) at tea, and then as the sun drifted down into the very stereotype of a quintessential English summer’s afternoon, a Spitfire growled in over our heads to dance acrobatics over the Castle’s summer prom.

What shall we do this week?
