Linking up with Jodi with a portrait of each of my children once every week for 2016.
Kitty: When you were a teeny tiny newborn girl some friends of ours from the hockey club came over with this bouncy ladybird as a present for you. It’s got a mirror on the bottom and you used to think it fascinating when it was hanging from the pram hood. Fast forward a few years and we unearthed it at the bottom of the baby toys bag and you reclaimed it as a favourite. But as much as it’s your favourite, you really wanted to show it to Pip, and he, as always, loved to be cuddled up with his best biggest sister.

Elma: With Kitty claiming her favourite baby toy we asked you which of Pip’s is your favourite. You made a beeline straight for this teddy (which plays music if you pull down on the suitcase) and gave him the sweetest hug. Three is such a wonderful age and you are every inch the little cutie pie. If we’re doing something you want to do you tell us how kind we are and your favourite admonition is to tell us to “have kind courage” which might be translated as “do what it it that I want to do!”

Pip: Oh what a happy smile with which to great the morning. You are my little sunshine, even in the early hours of the morning. Although this week you managed to sleep right from bedtime at 7 until about 3am which was quite extraordinarily wonderful – feel free to repeat that any time you like wee man!
