Linking up with Jodi with a portrait of each of my children once every week for 2015.
Kitty: At the Charlecote Spinney under the trees. You were hauling tree stumps around trying to build the den that you could see in your imagination, with perhaps a little more of it imagined than built when you discovered that it did make the perfect place to sit down when your wellies were giving you bother. You didn’t get your 50 Things sticker for your den building just yet, but we did manage a little bird watching to tick off number 44.

Elma: A tired little wood sprite sitting at the fairy ring at the end of a wonderful afternoon running and playing in the gardens at Charlecote.

Pip: oh my little explorer you are never ever still. You love being outside still but with the weather turning decidedly autumnal we’ve got to the point where our grass doesn’t dry out, and you have the muddy knees to prove it. Add in your deep love of our toy car, which we keep leaving out in the rain, and there was only one solution, top to toe waterproofs. I’m not quite sure why we never had one of these for your sisters, possibly because they reached this size in a different season, but you are as snug as a bug in your little boats, and just a little bit cute as a button too. Now all your need to do is figure out that the car is meant to move, every time your feet are on the ground and you accidentally move it you give that poor smiley faced car a deeply unimpressed and very suspicious glare.
