A portrait of each of my children once every week for 2015.

Space for the Butterflies - an eclectic handmade family life

Kitty: so very keen to always be giving cuddles.  She loves to cuddle Pip, and stroke his cheeks, fetch his teddies and his muslin and sing him silly songs, and he in turn responds with the biggest of smiles and gurgles galore.  Elma on the other hand is not so keen on suddenly being picked up for a bear hug and only returned to earth in another room, we’re still working on when it is and isn’t OK to pick up your baby sibling!

Elma: it might be pouring with rain, it might be bitterly cold, her mother and grandfather may be huddled together to shield themselves and Pip from the blustery gales but she has a full set of waterproofs, a snuggly warm hat with a pompom on and the roundabout to herself; what more could she possibly want. She is such a little outdoor fiend and I absolutely love it.

Pip: cheeky wee boy! He’s all smiles so much of the time but this week he’s really started to master the art of sticking his tongue out, it’s been so funny watching him work out that he can control some of what he does, and then doing it again to make sure.
