Space for the Butterflies - an eclectic handmade family life

Kitty: watching the window cleaner going up and down his ladder to do our bedroom windows and giggling as he waved at her.

“But Mama – there’s still lots of spiders on the inside!’

I have duly booked the window cleaner to come and clean the inside next time it rains. I’m fully expecting our house to seem vastly lighter as a result!

Elma: Never knowingly still. Even on a chilly morning with the last of the raindrops still dripping from the trees and only a tiny break in the cloud visible she’ll still choose outside.  Her wellies may be on the wrong feet and we seem to have entirely abandoned the idea of hats, coats or even jumpers but nothing is going to detract from the sheer joy of bouncing.

Pip: I’m pretty sure that horizontal stripes are meant to make you look short and wide not long and even longer. I don’t have many pictures of you all stretched out because to be honest it’s a bit of a challenge getting all of you in the frame. We had such fun taking pictures together and it took me all week to chose which of the dozen favourites would make the cut but I think this sums you up right now.  Wonderfully tall, utterly impish in expression and now trying out your new talent of licking my face whenever it gets near enough to reach. You look like you might be plotting world domination; that or you’ve been discussing nocturnal tag teaming with your sisters again.

PS – if you were looking for the Siblings project today it’s going to be on the 15th of each month this year; see you in a few days time!
